 A Special Invitation from the

Idaho Counseling Association’s

Executive & Leadership Development Committees

The 2021 LDI event will consist of two main sessions of the day:

AM SESSION - Focusing on the ICA organization and Leadership Development, this session will provide CE credit for a portion of the morning.

PM SESSION - A smooth transition from one year to the next is what we hope to achieve by developing goals, strategic plans, and budgets that can be carried from year-to-year and person-to-person.

  • While this session is tailored to ICA Committee Development, ICA Divisions/Chapters are welcome to attend to observe and/or participate as much as they would like.
  • ICA also has reserved the Boise Shelter at Julia Davis Park for the afternoon if Divisions/Chapters would instead like to hold their own private/larger afternoon sessions/meetings. Please notify Jacq if you would like to reserve part of the shelter space and Presidents please mark the option in the online registration process.
  • The PM session will conclude with a short COL meeting (approx. start of 4:15pm).

*** Lunch will be provided between sessions. The initial plan was to have a picnic lunch in the park with families; however, this has changed. Lunch will be held at the event site for those attending.

*** An optional social is being planned for Friday evening (June 18th) in Boise. Spouses/significant others are welcome to join! More details to follow.

WHO’S INVITED TO LDI:

While we are thrilled event restrictions have been lifted in the City of Boise, the guest count for LDI will remain limited in an effort to create an environment that is respectful of everyone’s current comfort level and to avoid a situation where event size restrictions are put into place again unexpectedly. Therefore, the following invitation protocol has been set:

   ICA

  • Current and incoming ICA Executive and Committee Chair positions.
  • Emerging Leaders chosen by the ICA Executive Committee.

   DIVISIONS & CHAPTERS:

  • Each ICA Division and Chapter has five (5) invitations for LDI to use as they wish.
*** Masks: LDI will follow the CDC guidelines and/or venue requirements at the time of event.

TRAVEL & LODGING COSTS

ICA will cover the cost of travel and lodging for incoming and current members of the Council of Leaders living outside the Treasure Valley.

  • Lodging will be booked by ICA as part of a group rate for Friday and Saturday nights (June 18 & 19). Please do not book your own lodging.
  • Mileage will be reimbursed from the attendee’s home to the hotel and back. ICA will not cover mileage unrelated to LDI.
  • A meal per diem will be provided for meals not provided by the LDI event or hotel.

***If a Division or Chapter has a Board Member (not on the Council of Leaders) or an Emerging Leader they would like to invite who does live in the Treasure Valley, a request for travel assistance may be submitted to the ICA Executive Committee. If the budget allows, ICA may assist with travel and lodging arrangements and/or costs.

HOW TO REGISTER:

ONLINE REGISTRATION is required to attend LDI and will close on May 31st, so ICA can begin ordering meals and supplies.

    • A registration code will be sent separately to each Divisions/Chapter President that is unique to that Division/Chapter and allows for five (5) registrations.
  • -        Division/Chapter Presidents can either send the registration link and code to their attendees to register themselves, or they can register for them.
