Lettie Stradley-Bass

ICA President

Lettie Stradley-Bass, LCPC operates a private telehealth practice. Her work emphasizes trauma resolution through holistic interventions informed by neuroscience. Lettie also volunteers as a mental health resource for Chaplains of Idaho, believing that service to the community is a privilege. Her involvement at a leadership level in the ICA has provided her with the opportunity to develop connections and serve in a way that impacts the counseling community more broadly.

David Routt

ICA President-Elect

David Routt, LCPC-S, NCC is the owner and clinical director of an established mental health agency in Caldwell, Idaho, where he has provided administrative leadership and advanced clinical services for more than a decade. His professional practice emphasizes systemic approaches to work with couples and families, and he has substantial experience supervising licensed professional counselors and counselor interns. David has served on several nonprofit governing boards and currently holds appointments as the Marketing Coordinator and the Public Policy and Legislation Chair for the Idaho Counseling Association (ICA). In these capacities, he contributes to statewide initiatives aimed at advancing counselor professionalization, promoting evidence-informed policy development, and improving the quality and accessibility of mental health care for Idaho communities.        

Lydia Missal

Lydia Missal, LCPC-S, is the Owner and Founder of her mental health agency, an experiential therapy practice that uses meaningful experiences to support healing and growth. With 18 years of trauma-focused clinical experience, she works as an EMDR Consultant, Clinical Supervisor, Wellbeing Expert and Educator, Ceremony and Rites of Passage Guide, Reiki Master, and Yoga Teacher. Her background includes community mental health, women’s advocacy, adventure therapy, and outpatient services. She’s passionate about professional development and meaningful connection. Lydia shares that she loves helping people connect with themselves and others and is honored to bring this commitment to her work within the nonprofit sector.        

Christy Babcock

Christy Babcock, LPC has been a mental health counselor at the College of Western Idaho since 2018. Prior to that, she worked in community mental health. Christy has been involved in counseling organization leadership since 2016 focusing on professional development, peer consultation and event planning.

Michelle Hopkins

ICA Treasurer

Michelle Hopkins, LCPC is  currently in private practice seeing clients both virtually and in person. She loves building relationships and incorporating different skill sets to help others. Michelle has served in various roles throughout her counseling career to include Secretary, Conference Chair, Program Coordinator, and President of a division.

Monique Barber

Board member

Monique Barber, PhD, LPC, NCC, BC-TMH is the Founder of her mental health practice in Garden City, Idaho, and adjunct faculty at Liberty University and Northwest Nazarene University. She is a counselor educator, advocate, and clinician whose work centers on ethical, effective, and spiritually integrated mental health care. With experience in counseling, teaching, research, and legislative advocacy, she is committed to strengthening the counseling profession, building collaborative relationships, and improving access to high-quality care for Idahoans. When she's not in counselor-mode, she is likely drinking good coffee, hanging with her husband and kids, or watching early 2000s British TV.

Ginger Rogers

Jennifer “Ginger” Rogers, LCPC, NCC, C-DBT, EMDR-C is a licensed clinical professional counselor and trauma-focused therapist specializing in DBT, EMDR, as well as complex trauma and dissociation work. As the owner and lead clinician of her private practice, she brings over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families through evidence-based care that emphasizes structure, compassion, and lasting change. Ginger’s work aligns closely with the organization’s mission to expand access to high-quality mental health services and strengthen community well-being. She serves on the board to help promote ethical, sustainable, and client-centered practices across the mental-health landscape.

Brian Smith

Brian Smith, LCPC is owner and sole practitioner at his private practice where he works with couples struggling with relationship problems, and individuals with a history of trauma or who are having difficulty with attachment related distress. He is committed to the counseling field with a focus on enhancing client development, and enacts his core value of service by promoting the counseling profession through his involvement with ICA. Brian is a former President of the association and currently a Board Member-at-Large.

Shauna Smith

Executive Director

Shauna Smith, MS, CCC-SLP has been a practicing speech-language pathologist since 2005, working across a variety of settings and currently serving as the sole proprietor of a part-time private practice. She spent 14 years in academia as a departmental administrator and clinical professor, training graduate clinicians in both classroom and clinical settings with populations that align with her current practice. Shauna has presented nationally, regionally, and locally as an expert on concussion/mild TBI and other rehabilitation-related topics, emphasizing a functional, patient-centered approach. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Idaho Counseling Association and is deeply committed to ICA’s mission and facilitating the association's goals of professional advocacy for mental health care providers and access to care within the community.
