Join Us

In thinking about membership, it is also important to know that there are four types of individual members:

Professional Member ($80):
Must hold a license in Idaho as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC).

Professional Members of ICA may run for and hold ICA-elected offices or be committee chairpersons.  

Associate Member ($48):
Any person who works in a closely related mental health field, but does not hold a master’s degree in counseling and/or does not have a license to practice as a Counselor in the State of Idaho.



Student Member ($40):
Must be enrolled half-time or more in a counseling program.

Student Members cannot run for or hold ICA-elected offices or chair committees (Doctoral Students may apply to do so).

Doctoral Student Member ($48): 

Any person who is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in a counseling program. 

Retired Member ($40):
A retired member is a person who has been an ICA professional member for five consecutive years and who has retired from the counseling profession.
