Ethics for Crisis and Trauma Intervention

The presenters will introduce attendees to essential definitions, key concepts, and theoretical foundations relevant to Trauma-Informed Counseling (TIC) interventions and connect that knowledge to the ACA Code of Ethics and Principle Ethics. The presenters will clarify best practices in TIC, including: ethics, neurological and biological factors, multicultural considerations, provider competence considerations, and training and consultation resources. The presenters will use slides to lightly structure the topics of discussion and will proactively invite audience discussion and questions to facilitate an interactive presentation experience.
