The Idaho Mental Health Counselors Association (IMHCA) is dedicated exclusively to the needs of clinical mental health counselors. Membership in IMHCA is multidisciplinary and open to licensed professional counselors, counselor educators, and counseling students who have an interest in the advancement of the mental health counseling profession. The Idaho Mental Health Counselors Association is a division of the Idaho Counseling Association (ICA) and a state chapter of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

The Mission of the Idaho Mental Health Counselors Association is to enhance the profession of clinical mental health counseling through the promotion of licensing, advocacy, education, and professional development.
IMHCA Vision Statement
The Idaho Mental Health Counselors Association, with the consistent standards of education, training, licensing, practice, and ethics, will be the state organization representing: Licensed Mental Health Providers, Licensed Professional Counselors, and other licensed clinical mental health clinicians recognized by the association. This is accomplished through empowering counselors with the knowledge, skills, and resources to promote their success in the profession.
